As an alternative to a simple hotel room, this condo offers an entirely different vacation experience. It will be like having your own private home, directly on a lovely Caribbean beach. Imagine your own private balcony that overlooks a turquoise ocean, with a beautiful coral sand beach directly below you. This is not just a pretty view. You are ON the Beach! The unobstructed 180 degree view is breathtaking. The sliding doors to the balcony open completely so the beach becomes part of your living area. The bed faces the ocean so at night, with the windows open, you'll feel like you are lying on the beach, and the sound of the waves will lull you to sleep. Instead of going out to eat for every meal, you can cook in if you prefer, as you have a complete kitchen, with everything you need to prepare gourmet meals. The unit has a Queen sized bed with an extra thick mattress. There is a Pack 'N Play available for younger children. The condo comes furnished with all linens, towels, kitchen equipment, stereo, CD player, tape deck, flat screen cable TV, VCR/DVD, Wi-Fi Wireless Cable, Ipod/Iphone plug in, air conditioner, and many other amenities. All you need to bring are your clothing and music. The Condo is in Condado, on the beach, next to the Marriott and a 10 minute drive/ taxi ride from San Juan airport (Muniz Marin) or a 10 min Taxi from the cruise ship docks. If you are not familiar with Condado Beach area, it is perhaps the most popular, and well maintained, beach in Puerto Rico. The condo Stella Maris is on the beach, facing the ocean, and 4 floors up (the building has an elevator). The building is very secure. The property is fully enclosed and gated. A key is required to enter the compound as well as the lobby. The elevator also is keyed which will only open to your specific floor. There is a Laundry room on the ground floor of the building with coin operated washers and dryers (cost is $1.50 per load). The Condado area is the main tourist area of San Juan and home to many casinos, fine restaurants, grocery stores, tourist shops, all within walking distance, and a 10 minute drive to Old San Juan and close to the highways that will get you to the rest of Puerto Rico. Condado is a walking area , you don't need a car to get around. Shopping, restaurants, casinos are nearby. There is a fitness center, and a Cyber Cafe, about a block away. Taxis and buses are always available as the main drag is a half block away. The Marriott Hotel is right next door and has a great Casino, several excellent restaurants, with dining on the beach, and live music every night. Most of the island excursions ( Parasailing, snorkeling, Horseback riding etc.) can be arranged through them with the operators picking you up from the Hotel lobby. Although being so close to such a busy area, the condo is very quiet, except of course for the constant sound of the waves crashing on the beach below.. This is not just a pretty view.
